Metallography and Inspection Services

A fully equipped and supported metallography service is available from all of our sites which includes:

Sample Cutting, preparation to a polished finish
Chemical/electrochemical etching
Examination of metallic microstructures
Assessment, phase counting, grain sizing and inclusion counting
Image analysis and digital photography
If required, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray dispersive microprobe analysis can be provided
Metallurgical investigation services
Site work, employing experienced individuals are available to carry out replication of microstructures, including interpretation if required.
